Fuel pump

Would the fuel pump (primer pump assembly) from an 84 300 TD wagon work in an 80 300D?
Thanks,
Vince

look the same

What do you mean by pn and N/A?
I looked at the parts from their pictures and they appear to be the same.

one model is turbo, and the other is naturally aspirated (n/a) -this often determines differences in parts, especially for the fuel system.

I just checked Fastlane, they are sold as different items. Are we talking about the same thing?

84 turbo:

We are talking about the same thing. Do you think it would bolt up, and would it cause any damage?

What could it hurt? hopefully someone smarter than me will chime in.
Its just a primer pump - even if it didnt work the car would still run fine... as long as you could get it started..heh.

Do you have to replace yours? A recent poster jst cleaned his and was very successful. Check today's posts

I replaced primer pumps on my 240d euro, 300d turbo, and 300td t with the same $8.95 new bosch spring pump. One size fits all! no problems there. Not sure what why it would not work for you. My 240 is non turbo.
pm me and I'll tell you where I bought the pumps.

lift pump

The fuel pump or lift pump is what I am refering to, but the only pump I could find was called the primer pump assembly. See the parts listed above by addict.
