what
Hello:
Jacks the name. I have what I though was a 1978 w115 300D with 617 non turbo 5 cyl. I need to replace the header pipe gasket but all my searches show a doughnut gasket being used . What I have on the manafold is a split pipe that uses a rectangal gasket. Any help?????? |

is this between the header and the head or the header and the exhaust pipe? Can you post a picture?

its a 1976
Thanks
Was at work and in a hurry wrote the wrong year, I also have a 1968 220D. Maybe I'm dislechic or something it's a 76 300D. Don't own a kodak to take pictures with. I will try to give a better discription. Two outlet pipes come out of the manafold into the header pipe. The outlet flange is rectangular and they rejoin going back to another simi flex joint held with stout springs then into the tail pipe and out the back. The gasket in question is between the manafold and the rectangular flange of the header pipe. |

you mean 'lysdexic', right?
I have not been able to locate that gasket, do you have the original? I have a 123 that omits exhaust gaskets in a few places which one would expect one - flat to flat flanges. is this possible? |
