Good glow, instant start... old fashioned glow system?

Hello,

Pics of my glow setup are below. it looks to me as if they are wired in parallel. I assume this means that they are wired such that they only get 3V each???

The glow light turns on and stays on for about the same duration as it does on my pencil GP-equipped 300D cars. The 240D starts instantly from full cold, first cylinder.

It has an 80A fuse, and I dont really know the differences of what to look for. Is this the newer style or the older one, and is there any real benefit to upgrading if my car starts instantly... granted its not the winter...

Another stupid question - asuming that these are the older loop style plugs, can I retrofit pencil plugs in there, even if I maintained the old wiring setup?

Thanks again,

JMH

Individual wires to each glowplug and 12mm heads instead of 17mm.

OK, guess I have to brush up on my electrical know-how. Makes sense, I guess... parallel should each see 12V equally, whereas series would be additive.

Stupid me, thanks for the info!
