Adjusting the Modulator VS Throttle Pressure Cable
Hey guys,
Im a college student in los angeles and since school has been out I decided to tackle my tranny shifting woes. Long story short, it was a vacuum leak in my climate control unit and I have plugged that line (for now) to prevent the leak. My tranny immediately started shifting better but not as well as I have seen. I just drained my tranny, torque converter, and replaced filters for good measure. I am still getting some hard shifts but the dreaded clunking when stopping has disappeared. 1-2 is hard, seems like it is slipping when it shifts there is a noticeable kick. 2-3 is better but there is still a kick 3-4 is good, if I can get the other shifts to be like this, I will be satisfied. I am getting 16" of vacuum out of the blue flying saucer which from my research is good. So i think I am left with adjusting either the Throttle pressure cable or the green tranny modulator. Im concerned that if I adjust any of these, will my 1-2 shift improve but completely throw off my 3-4 shift which is acceptable right now?
