I found a 123 300td for sale by the second owner. the car has 166xxx for about 4000 USD. no cracks in the dash, no rear end sag, and decent original paint and nice interior. The problem is i don't know about the service history as i called the dealer the owner mentioned and they only have records of repairing the vacuum lines and a trim piece.

Is this still worth having the dealer check with the pre purchase inspection or stay away?
Is it detrimental that the 100k service may have not been done?
