617.016 Fan Clutch

Hey everyone, I'm looking to replace the clutch on my fan on my 82SD. I know the engine is not original and has been replaced. I searched for 617.016 on the forum and it looks like its a marine engine? It looks like a regular 617 to me though so I don't know. ******** shows two different clutches for the 617 but I'm not sure which to get...they also are for the 617.951 not the 016...

Any help would be appreciated...thanks guys..

I think if you give the engine number to the parts place they may be able to help you. Another possibility is look on the fan clutch itself and see if you can local a part number. Mercedes likes to number a lot of the parts and with their Logo stamped or cast into them.

I might have been wrong about the .016 bit. I was looking on the front of the engine slightly behind the fan and it has 617 016 xxxxx cast into the head/block....is that what i should be looking at to see the engine number?
