I'm tempted! What do you think?

I'd probably keep the manual stuff and part the rest to the forum:D. |
If the body and interior happen to be in good condition, why part it out? Get a used engine from a salvage yard to stick in it and you could resell it for a lot more than you would have in it. Or use it as a daily driver. Doesn't look too bad from the pictures.

Yup, that car would give you a good return parting out.
|
I'd have to be all over that.
|
He verified last night (late) by e-mail that he still has the car. I told him to consider it sold but I haven't heard anything back yet.

China Blue for JIMMY!!!!
|
Id stick a new engine in it and sell it for 1500.
|
Perhaps a turbo
I could join the 240DT club :D
|
$350? Why haven't you towed it home yet?

I looked at it during lunch and it seems to have lots of potential. There's a little rust on the rear wheel wells but the jack points look good. Paint should rub out nicely, no tears in the seats and relatively clean inside.
As soon as the guy gets back to me, it's mine.;) |
Seems like you should seriously consider getting those lottery tickets.:D
|
I think the first thing you should do is put some Bundts on there.
And then, since you will have extra hubcaps you might want to send them to a state with a warmer climate for a car of Oriental-named decent........:chinese2: |
I hear ya Jimmy...
If I score that 240D for $350 I will have an extra set. Blue ones. They aren't china blue...it's a darker shade but I'll give you a sweet deal.
Perhaps you should buy a lottery ticket too!?:D See what I got for $20 at lunch... http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pts/750520943.html |
Buy it and put a turbo engine in! :D
|
go for it! if only the top end is damaged, get a new head from the junkyard and call it good :D
