Talking Finally, on the road!

I just drove my TD in to work today for its inaugural run. No radio, no AC, monovalve needs a rebuild so all I get is heat, transmission shifts are way too hard and seats are way too soft. But it ran a steady 65 and cruise works! What a blast!

Sounds like the heat is working fine!!
Congrats on getting on the road, and you will get the other stuff knocked out before you realize it. Of course, in true W123 form 2 or 3 more things will probably break, but we still love these old things, don't we.
I hate them as a summer car though. I might have to be totally opposite of you northern guys and buy me a summer car to drive like yall have winter cars you use.......
Enjoy your TD and keep us posted on your progress.

Replaced a degraded vacuum plug I put on two years ago and the shifts are a bit nicer.
Installed my reliable old Blaupunkt radio - and now I've got tunes.
Vents stopped blowing heat, so maybe I need to resolder some connections in the ACC.
I see that the odometer is stuck - so it'll come out this weekend...
