300 Diesels: Exhaust "Sleeve"?

Folks,
Both my 1987 300TD and 1987 300SDL have a pleated metal sleeve that connects the front half of the exhaust manifold to the rear half. And in both this sleeve has developed a leak.
My problem: I can find no reference anywhere, even on the MB CD's, to these sleeves, and have not been able to order replacements. (No, I haven't gone to a dealer yet, I'm being stubborn :-). Does anyone have any information or leads I can follow to find out more about this sleeve and where to get replacement?
John

Is the leak in the metal sleeve it self or where it connects to the exhaust? If it is the connection, have you tried to gently tighten the bolts?

Do you mean the one in the first picture 117 142 01 59 or the one in the second picture 603 142 02 59?

It's the first one, the one you refer to as 117 142 01 59. There's a split/crack on top of one of the pleats.

Meanwhile, that part number is great info of itself, thanks.

Junkyard would be your best choice if you don't want to buy a new one from a dealer.

Is it just a pleated sleeve? I thought there was a straight sleeve within the pleated sleeve.

There is a straight sleeve next to the pleated sleeve. Part # 117 142 01 54.
