W210 Headlamp Lens

Anyone know if a replacement lens is available for the headlight assembly for the W210?

yes they are I got mine through a local indy shop/parts company. Not sure it they are DOT legal but they look the same and are a hell of a lot cheaper. Call Wedge Keyes import auto at 225-295-0744 and see if he can ship them.

The story I have heard is that MBUSA does not offer the lenses as separate parts. There are aftermarket sellers on ebay offering lenses but they are not original equipment or they are grey market OEM parts imported around MBUSA. I have not heard any reviews of their quality. Many people have had good luck polishing out their old ones if that is your problem. You'll need to start by sanding them and move to finer and finer papers and finish with a plastic polish to get all of the yellow off.

I sanded one of mine recently as an expiriment. It was yellowed and a bit flaky too.

Had some 600 wet dry paper in the garage; started with that then used some glass oven top powdered cleaner and a polish wax to finish. Helped immensely although I do plan to do it again starting with wet/dry 240 or 320, to get rid of pits, etc. then on to 400, 600, 1200 and finally a polish.

Do tape the paint to avoid any accidents.

Rest-of-world EPC shows them available for pre-facelift models only.

I have a set of w210 OEM lenses that I would be willing to sell. They even have the Xpel clear covers on them. Let me know if you are interested. These items need to go as they are taking up space....

Helped someone swap out W210 OEM's for eBay aftermarkets. Came with HID's for somewhere around $300? They worked great, had the HID cutoff and everything.

The beam pattern wasn't so great, however. Drastic improvement, but not nearly as consistent and precise as a Bosch unit.

I think it also caused some problems with the headlamp circuitry, not properly detecting the ballast as a lamp and reporting a headlamp out.
