The turbo is a much better driving car on today's roads - non-turbo very slow.

very slow? well manual hopefully makes up for that, you could shift at higher rpms making it faster than auto 300d no?

having owned both, I can say, no, the turbo is faster (after the turbo engine hits 2k rpm that is)

Well, actually, I had a 300D Euro last summer......drove it once...and I thought is was RIGHT peppy!!! It is lighter than a Federal 300D.

if you end up not buying the manual 300D then please tell me where it is, i am interested in possibly buying it. what is your location? i am in texas.

Skippy 07-23-2008 08:44 PM

I'd take the Euro, but then I HATE automatic transmissions.
