So my brewer goes on summer vacation and I have to fill with D2 for a few weeks.
OMG!!!!
Its like I never rebuilt the cylinder head, have air leaks in the fuel lines, didnt rebuild the INJs, what a nasty smoky mess! Start up is particularly smokey.
White smoke. If the IP timing is advanced, are these the symptoms you get?
I no longer have a mpg/0-60 discrepancy with B100, whereas before the cyl head redo, there was a big difference, with B100 being underpwoered and only giving 31-32 mpg. Now its 33-35, and the WOT is not nearly as sluggish as it used to be.
The car simply LOVES B100 I guess.
On another note, the engine now consumes oil. All I did was the top end. I was pertty fastidious about vaccuming all the curd from the cylinders, I can't imagine why it burns oil now. If it had more blowby, sure, that top be expected with a fresh head, but oil consumption...????
