Broken hood spring
The pass side hood spring is broken on my sig car. It is broken on the hood side and I can't see a way to get it removed from the body bracket. Does the hood have to come off?

Bonnet springs...
The way to remove these, is to open the bonnet (hood) to a virtical position, then un hook the spring from the hinge end, lay it down in the trough, and then unhook it from the body end....
Its a bit of a 'fiddle' but can be done.... Re-fitting is the reversal of the procedure....

After a few attempts with a variety of implements, I finally used a smallish tireirony tool to give me the leverage and angle.
