Climate control makes crackling noise
My 1984 300SD is making a crackling noise when the rpm exceeds 3000 Rpm and tends to get louder on higher rpm, what could be the problem???

Is it coming from the CCU and does it sound like relays clicking?

I had the same problem with my 300sd. I ended up swapping the CCU out for a junkyard unit and it worked fine after that.
