I think I screwed up injection pump!!!

Simple repair just escalated into a major problem I believe. I was trying to replace the o-rings around the stop lever. After getting to the o-ring on the shaft I proceeded to loosen the 17mm nut that holds the shaft in and a piece of the threaded injection pump housing broke off. Now the beginning threads on one side are gone. Do I have any options other than replacing the whole pump.

If it turns out that you do need a new pump, I've got one I can sell you cheap. Are you in the lower 48?

I dont know, if I had to replace the IP on my Euro, I think I would replace it with a US pump, which I have plenty of, but also you dont have the potential issues. Replacing copper "sealing washers" is a piece of cake. Is that sacrilege?

Unless you decide to get rid of the complete car the IP will have to come off. So, I second the need for pictures while the pump is off.
Depending on what where the damage is and what type of governor is on the pump it may be possible to swap your parts into another governor housing (taking careful measurments of the origional governor adjustments).
Is the physical appearance of the pump different (different IP pump model or has a different governor) from the US to the Euro model or is it just that the calibration of the IP is different?

Injector pump

I will be taking the injector pump off shortly and will post some pictures. I'm located in Louisiana and would interested in acquiring a used one if that seems to be the best fix.

Thanks,
Chris

good pics but need to see broken area.
Will the threaded part come all the way out now?
I enlarged the pic but still was unable to see the area where the piece was broken off.
