servo not working ,87 300TD

All of a sudden I do not hear the servo that is supposed to lock-in the back door in my wagon ( the so-called "good neighbour" feature...). Is there an obvious place to look first?

do the 124's still use vacuum to lock? or is there a pump like in the 126?
perhaps you should pull the panel off and look at how it's supposed to lock.
somebody with a 124wagon will chime in here soon.
keep bumping the thread to the top every once in a while.

The lock is run by a pump under the right rear seat, the hatch pull-down motor is in the latch assembly.

Since the locking checks out, than the pull-down motor not engaging is the problem. Before I have to deal with the panel removal, is there a dedicated fuse or other place to look at?
