I had a similar problem.....
When I first purchased my 300D it had what appeared to be "brand new" Goodyear Regatta 2 tires....still had all of the moulding nubs.....the tires had flat spotted....as it turned out the tires were over 5 years old.....the complete set....apparently the previous owner had let the car sit for about 5 years on these tires.
I replaced the front tires, and put the 2 tires with the least noticeable "flat spots" on the rear......after a year or so I got a vibration from what felt like the right front.....but in fact it was the left rear, a belt had broken and caused the tire to be "out of round".....we noticed it when we spun it up while checking the balance of ALL of the tires...this was the last tire checked....because all indicatore were right front/ front/ right .....so the left rear wound up last.....replaced the tire, solved that problem.....
