Scam maybe??
 

Hey guy's be aware that I recently bought a few parts from a member of this web site.
My PayPal went through a little more then two weeks ago and the guy has vanished!
He does not respond to his emails....so beware.:mad::mad::mad:

You were one of the most recent people to view his profile. He has only made 858posts in 6 years, I wouldn't expect him to come around often.

Caveat emptor. Thats one of the risks when dealing member to member. If you feel there is any risk in a transaction, tell him/her you want to do it through an eBay auction instead of through the forum.

I have read your message a couple times. Yeah my old eyes
and beer sotted brain may be malfunctioning at the moment,
however, did you happen to mention the name of the member
that might be a scammer?:confused:

Theres not much I can do right now....And the amount of money wasn't that much.But its a question of principal and Honor!

thats why you should only buy from me!:D that sucks but maybe he just had an emergency. i don't recall if he was one of the prolific scammers reported here using various user names. let us know how it turns out

Right, something must have happened. You don't stick around for 6 years by screwing fellow members, thats one thing that can earn the boot real quick.

He was logged on yesterday.....

he bought a car from us- nice guy, I'd keep trying to contact him.

I would err on the side of caution/error. There maybe a million reasons
(all good) for not following through or contacting you. Two weeks is a
very short period of time to condemn someone.
He has been around, he will be back.

I just got a PM from Brian Carlton about this. This is the first I have heard of this. No e-mails and no other PMs.

Thank for Brian for letting me know about this issue and for everyone sticking up for me.

I shipped the window switches via USPS International First Class. I can only assume that it got misrouted or held up at customs. I might have another set that I can send you but I will have to check. If you want your money back, I can also refund it via Paypal. I only ask that if you receive the switches that you mark them "return to sender"

I'm happy your back. I was a little concerned,two weeks had gone by and no news.

I had a transaction with a fellow from the great white north. The money took about forever to appear in the appropriate place.

I thought bad thoughts too, but Brian Carlton helped me out too and told me to hold off on condemning him.

It turned out ok for me in the end, and it looks good here too.
