engin & transmission interchange 82 300 sd

will either engin or trans. and rear end from a 79 300 sd w116 will fit in 82 300 sd w126. going to junk the w116 due to rotted frame. just wondering if any drive train parts will fit so i can pull and keep as spare. thanks in advance chris.
