updated headlights on my '86 201
I was on vacation last week, so I had some time to work on my 201. I updated the head lights to the version that were stock from '87 + . No more sealed beams. I got the assemblies at Pick N Pull, the lenses etc. where in pretty good shape. But of course, the frames (doors) where shot. So I bought a brand new pair at my local indy parts desk. All together it was about 200 bux. Just a little cheaper than the after market euros on E Bay. Oh well, they are OEM Bosch. Installation was all plug and play, and I really like the way they look. I also got a lot of trim odds and ends from the P N P that the ole girl was missing. She's coming together!
1) Before 2) During (driver's side only) 3) After 4) They Work!

Putting in back in Order
One step closer. Good to see you are on your way to preserve another one of these good little cars. As you know I sure like putting miles on mine.
Hope to see you again at the next No Cal Diesel Drive.
