I was thinking something came loose in the trap oxidize or an exhuast leak. I was going to put a boost gauge on it and check my boost presure. It seems to happen everytime when accelerating at any speed throughout all rpms.
What should I check? How do you test for an exhuast leak? Is it right Mercedes still has to maintain my trap and if it takes out the turbo they have to replace that too?

I had a similar experience with a similar noise. Seemed to only occur when accelerating or when the engine load changed due to an incline. I thought it might be an exhaust component, turbo, wastegate, etc. It gradually become worse over the course of 3 days and then finally came undone. I had to take it in. The clattering and banging noise was outrageous - I thought a rod had let loose. As it turned out the mechanic that re-installed the engine after a rebuild, did not get all the torque converter bolts tightened to the proper torque. The flex plate broke and all **ll broke loose. They fixed it and now it's back to its former glory.
If you haven't had your tranny or engine out recently then this may not be your problem but, its something to watch for. For you, I hope its most likely to be some exhaust component banging around due to a broken mount or loose attach bolts.
Keep us posted.
