Request for information regarding W123 AC parts
Folks, my AC just went out this week on my 1983 300D sedan. I take the car to a mechanic whose only source for parts is the dealer. If he gives me an parts estimate that is too high, I would like to be able to find a parts dealer with more realistic prices.
Who do you suggest for purchasing such things as Dryers, compressors, and expansion valves and other misc. AC parts? By the way, I use Freeze12 in this system and it really cools great. Don't know what happened this week, but the AC man is out until next week, so I can't even have them look at it this week. Thanks so much in advance for your help!:D |
AC parts
I found good quality parts at Napa. Compressor was a Four Seasons. Expansion valve was from France and had complete set of o-rings with it. Receiver-Drier is different story - it's from *************** and is probably Chinese. If doing again, I'd also buy the RD from Napa.
