Lately I have noticed that when I turn off my 1987 300TDT it shutters, and comes to a rough stop. I tried to find something here on the forums in the search but for lack of better keywords to search for (ie rough shut down, shutter off, shut down trouble) I have been having problems finding anyone else who has had this issue.

Besides that the car is running just fine just shut down that is out of the ordinary. I was about to order new rear sway bar bushings since the rear swar bars rusted off (and those I can not find anywhere either, hopefully the used ones I got from a 300E will fit) I thought I might buy whatever I need to fix this too for free shipping.

If there is another thread with this information in it please link me, I apologize if my keywords were wrong! haha

Not very familiar with the 87 but shutdown problems are typically associated with either low vacuum or bad shut off valves. I'm pretty sure you have a vacuum shut off. If so, using a mity vac to pull a vacuum on the shut off and see if it shuts off smoothly would tell you whether the problem was the valve itself or the vacuum system.

That is good feedback, I am going to look for my vacuum diagrams when I get a chance and pull out the mittyvac to test for vacuum @ where ever the shut off is located.
