Did you see the made in China label? Or my all time favorite, Hencho en China.

What is a "tire rod"? What realy broke? The guide rod bushings, LCA or UCA bushings or sway bar bushings?

I ordered the Febi branded UCA's and sway bar bushings. They have been working well for the past 4-5 months.

At least 100k miles.

Usually, a puller or fork is used to separate the tie rod ends from the steering knuckle, etc. That sometimes gouges the surface where the grease boot makes contact. That, in turn, cuts up the new grease boot in short order.

I had the same experience with some FEBI tie rods that I installed in April. The boots cracked within 3-4 months. I just got some new ones installed under warranty, we shat see how long they last. "Germany" is stamped on the tie rod end, but the box says "Made in India" Needless to say, I don't think they'll last too long. Apparently FEBI has gone the way of so many other German manufacturers... JUNK.

I have Meyle on my SDL, they work just fine. Been on for 2 yrs and is daily driven with no problems.

What brand did you buy? A lot of companies say "X, Germany" but then the part is made elsewhere....

If you bought it at a dealer it would be warranted, assuming it was installed properly.
