A guy down the street is selling his 87 300sdl for $2500.
Its got 330k on the engine; rust on the bottom of the rear windshield; slight rust around the sway bar in the front wheel wells.

The chain is original, and its got the #14 head on it. Also, he just changed the oil cooler hose because he said one of them blew when he was driving.

Other than that, the paint is good, the interior is decent (needs a cleaning) and the A/C works. Tires are good and it starts right up. Battery, brakes and other misc items are a few years old. Plus some of the vacuum tubing rubber connectors look cracked.

What do you guys think its worth?

Why would you want such a vehicle?

I think its a time bomb and not worth the repairs, at that price anyways. Save your money and buy a nice Pre-85' SD.

To me? $500 as a winter beater, maybe $800 if its pretty nice. Drive it until something major breaks, than strip what I need and junk it. The junker will give you $250 for it, so if I could drive it for a winter or two I'd have gotten my money out of it.

Maybe the 2 is supposed to be a dollar sign... Its worth whatever someone is willing to pay... I'd pay 600 for it.... part it out would be worth more.
