SDL factory alarm

For no reason, when I opened the door (which was unlocked), the alarm went off. It would not go off even after cycling all the door locks several times. I eventually had to disconnect the battery.....
OK, the only problem that might indicate a direction was that the passenger door, when unlocked would not always unset the alarm, BUT, it would shut off when the driver's door was cycled.
Meanwhile, I need the car, so I found the thread that mentioned the Becker box with the two connectors, under the passenger side dash. Before I disconnect, I just want to verify I have the right box. It is on the passenger side, under the plastic cover which is under the carpet, and next to the tunnel.

If that is right, what will not work when I disconnect both plugs?

Thanks !

Mine quit responding reliably to the key switches almost the week we bought it, so I just unhooked it.

That's the right box as best as I can remember.
