can't find high side AC valve
Can someone please help me out. I can't find the high side valve for my A/C system. The low-side valve is right on top near the valve cover, correct?
thanks

I just went through this about a week ago. It is located near the bottom of the alternator, passenger side. Mine was pretty full of road grime and difficult to see.

Here's how you can find the low and high side connection on ANY car......
By knowing the simple flow through an a/c system you will know what is low and what is high side. from that, you can simply trace the lines and find the ports. Starting at the compressor, you will have a high slde, small liquid line that will go from there to the condensor, possibly through an accumulator or filter drier which might be on the other side of the condensor. The liguid line will then go to the expansion device and then through the evaporator. The output from the evaporator will be a large vapor line which will find it's way back to the low side of the compressor. SOOooo.... between the evaporator and the compressor will be low side and between compressor and expansion device will be the high side. Trace down the lines and you will find and identify your ports. |
