1985 300sd Fuel Leak

I noticed a big leak under my 300SD the other day and thought it was the transmission, as it has been slipping badly the last couple of days. I looked under the hood with the engine running and noticed a big leak in the first fuel injector on cylinder #1. Attached are some pictures.

The fuel comes out of the left side of the injector, following the hose. It might be a leaking hose. It appears to be leaking not from the metal tube, but from the fabric feeling one.

Is this a quick repair? And should I just replace the hose, or the entire injector?

Those are you injector return lines. They return the unused fuel back to the tank. It's pretty common that those start leaking. In lots of cases the lines are the original lines. And with the ULSD causing rubber to shrink and biodiesel causing rubber to swell you end up with leaking no matter what fuel you are using these days. That fuel line can be bought from the Buy Parts tab on the top of the page. You'll find it by the meter, you'll need about a meter and a half, but I'd order two meters so you have extra. If you are running biodiesel you might think about switching to viton lines. Viton is the only material that is biodiesel resistant in the long run. GreaseWorks sells viton hose kits for the hole car or you can buy just the injector return lines.
