which vac pump repair kit?
So I have decided to rebuild the vac pump on both my 240's and have come across a choice of kits.
There is the main kit of which there is only 1 to choose but the remaining diaphragm fix kits are slightly different. 1 kit has 1 diaphragm and replacement bolts The other kit has 2 diaphragms and no bolts. The parts house says some pumps take 2 diaphragms but could not say how to know from external inspection. I checked my engine #'s but that is no help. Anyone know how to determine short of a teardown? From what I can figure out both cars use the same pump.

Look at the pics at this site (the upper V Pump looks like a single diaphragm pump, the lower is a piston type V pump).

ANd you need to order a new gasket seperately.
