w126 SDL interior light/seatbelt issues

PO F'ed with a bunch of the wiring. I just installed a new (working) interior light pod installed, now I am getting seat belt warnings all the time, and the light stays on as if the doors are open all the time.

I did a little more investigating to find that the wires directly out of the seat belt are cut. I followed and found the wires where they are connected under the seat, but they are disconnected and I cannot find the wires that follow into the rest of the car and ultimately to the overhead light pod.

I think what would help the most at this point is a wiring diagram of the overhead light pod, I can probably rig up a solution at this point.

Sounds like the prev owner had a bad seatbelt relay. It is located under the dash, driver's side attached to the bottom of the steering column. It is a black relay attached to the silver cruise control computer. I had many, many issues with my seatbelt lights staying on, and no interior lights on when the doors were opened. I found a burnt circuit board in the seatbelt relay.
Found a used one in a wrecking yard and all is well.
You do need a wiring diagram for this.

You'll want the seatbelt switches to work correctly, the airbag system uses them to decide if the airbags need deployed or if the seatbelt tensioners are all that's needed.

I'll worry about that later...for now, I was going to trick the system into believing the belt is always connected...taking baby steps.

I found the relay in question, it looks good from what I can tell, but I am assuming that it would have the same problems (as total failure) if the belt isn't wired at all.

Diagram, anybody?
