Electrical Problem

We love our '85 300SD. I received a telephone call this morning from my other half telling me that on the way to work the Oil Pressure and Temperature gauges quit working. The car has over 300,000 miles on it and we want to keep it going.

Are the gauges on this car fused, and is there a separate Instrument Voltage Regulator on this car?

I have done some work on these cars, but have never gotten into the electrical portion. Never had to do so.

Ideas on where I start to troubleshoot this?

I have two Benz autos this 300SD and a '74 450SE that is a project when I have some time to get to it. Love the Benz's...........
