What year/model?

Is your original harness completely destroyed?

In the wiring diagram Positions 6,1,2, (On the top of the relay picture)
and Position 3 on the bottom.
You had a four position Female plug that fit over the four male posts.

'Only way I can think of figuring out "what goes where" would be to "Re-Inact"
the correct color codes from the Various components AND look at another
car's plug setup to see?

Which means that there is no connection for the temp sensor as shown in the schematic.

Delete #6, add #4. (Those are the connector designators; the pin numbers are inside the grey box on the schematic.)

The external temp input was eliminated on later models (after 1981.) The newer relay boxes incorporated a self-contained temp sensor, hence only four pins.

You're right, as usual

I have the Older relay w/out 80 amp fuse[Electronically shuts down at OverAmp]

ferdz has only 4 pins (see picto-gram below)

15
50
31
LA

(only the Temp. Input is excluded)

Here's the question: would we be crazy to assume the wire colors would be the
same?

At this point, we don't even know the year/model of the car in question.

from what I did this week on mine.

50- ground- brown wire
la- to lamp in cluster, blue/ striped
15- is hot with key, red/striped.
the other gets power from the starter circuit and is not exactly nessicary search violet wire mod.
