Steering gear stretch bolts - replace?
 

Hi, I need to find out if it's absolutely good idea to replace the stretch bolts that hold the steering gear box to the frame. Looks like I'll have to order these bolts from the dealer. Or I could finish the job today :)

Are they stretch bolts? I thought there were replacement items because of the encapsulted single use thread locking compound.

How about some locktite until the new ones come in?

I pulled the bolts and it looks like it had locktight on it already. Well I decided to check with the dealer tomorrow if they have the item. According to Star manual I'm supposed to replace those as well as the nuts to tie rod ball joints. Hmmm. maybe I was just getting tired to finish the job ;)
