20% fuel improvement gadget???

http://www.temple.edu/newsroom/2008_2009/09/stories/taofueldevice.htm

"Six months of road testing in a diesel-powered Mercedes-Benz automobile showed that the device increased highway fuel from 32 miles per gallon to 38 mpg, a 20 percent boost, and a 12-15 percent gain in city driving."

We've gone from fuel line magnets, to electronic fuel line jackets, ... which somehow penetrate the faraday chamber of the metal fuel line, ...

This same "scientist" was promoting a magnetic device to do the same thing two years ago.

http://www.autobloggreen.com/2006/11/03/erin-brockovich-gets-your-attention-but-can-magnets-improve-fue/

Strange that we don't all have them bolted to our engines by now...

Road tests are extremely subjective and have a lot of variables.
I would like to see a test involving a Diesel or Gasoline powered Generator where the fuel can be precisely measured and a constant speed and load can be maintained. All that would be easy to do with a Generator + there would be no up and down road conditions or air resistance. Even the temperature would be more even.
This way there is no human manipulating the throttle too.

You obviously need a series string of them on your fuel line to see over fifty mpg. Why do they only try to sell people one?

Why buy a part? You can easily hit 30-35mpg with a 617 and some tuning. The engine by default supplies wayyy too much fuel(emissions BS).
Just do this:Adjust your linkage!

When the pedal is to the floor the link that goes to the injection pump should be at 25% instead of 100% travel. Then unplug the downshift switch under the pedal. The results will be immediately noticeable!!!

I think a brick under the throttle would give a similar improvement in mileage...
