Swapping power windows for manual ones.
 

I've got a 1984 300D with slow windows. I have access to a 1979 240D with manual windows- how straightforward is the swap from power to manual? Does everything bolt on? It'd fix my slow window issue, plus I'd rather have manual windows.

Aligning windows is a PITA. Easier IMO to align doors. Look for the same color doors and hang them on your car.

I think its fairly easy to align glass... It's alot easier since the glass is lighter.

Easier said than done, especially since my car is an odd/borderline ugly bronze color that wasn't available on early cars.

I'd rather do that than work on the PRV.

Wouldn't the vacuum lines present a problem when swapping doors, thats what has held me back.:o

It's not complicated. I just changed some manuals to auto because of an accident on the 2 drivers side doors. Remove and swap one piece at a time. Inside door panels are different because the auto's don't have a hole for the hand crank. It would be good to take a good picture of both before you start for reference if you need. DO IT you'll be happy you did. Manual roof swaps are not to difficult and are great and problem free. mark your vac lines
