Hissing during shifts W123 300D
I have an 85 300D project, runs great but notice hissing sound in tranny tunnel while shifting , goes away as things warm up, has some late shifts but pretty smooth in general. Any ideas?

I would say a leaky vacuum modulator but if it is shifting smooth, then it may not be it. Also, you can check the shifter bushings. Sometimes they get rotted out and can make all sorts of interesting sounds.
