Isn't the OE tire size for your car a 195/65-HR15?

If the price includes mounting, how are they in your closet?

Tires

Your Mogness,

195/65/15 is the correct size (But they look like Bicycle wheels) AND the
205/60/15 are so close that the Speedometer is still accurate.
(The 205s put a little more rubber on the road, without compromising the
sidewall strength and load capacity)[please see chart @ bottom of page]

PC,
I'm such a Cheap Bastard (German,Irish,Scottish)that I cannot bring myself to
"Waste" the last few Microns of usable tread on the old tires.Plus,I will not be
charged for installation, until it actually occurs.

Less than 5% error, not bad.

The width of the tread has nothing to do with the speedometer being right or wrong, it is the standing height of the tire that determines high or lower readings. I always check the standing height(dia.) of any tires when I upgrade sizes. Didn't look up these specifically, but if the Standing height is the same no problem with the Speedo.

Diameter

CHADAHAR,

195s are 25 inches in diameter , 834 Revolutions per mile.
205s are 24.7 inches in diameter , 844 Revolutions per mile.

The Speedometer might register a mile or two per hour off at the upper end .

The width does have a lot to do with it, 60% of 205mm or 65% of 195mm, ... as width increases so does diameter unless you drop down in aspect ratio.

As CI noted, it's all about the rolling radius and revs/mile.
