Yet another water pump question

Would it be an opportune time to replace the turbo drain seals and grommet and the lower tube while I have the front of the motor sort of opened up?

Although it did just occur to me that I just have maybe 500 miles on a recent oil change. I was originally planning to do it when the oil needed to be changed since the pan needs to be dropped! Thanks for input.

x2. If the turbo drain is not leaking say your thank you prayers and leave it alone. They are tricky as hell to get to seal up.

Sorry guys, I failed to tell you that it's on my "MUST be fixed" list. I'm really getting tired of oil all over the bottom of the car and a pan under it where it rests in the stable.

Just thought that while the car is going to be 'down' for a while I just as well tackle that problem as well, no?

There is not much "tactical advantage" to doing the two jobs concurrently. You would save having to raise the hood a second time, I suppose.

How long are you planning on taking to replace the water pump? More than an hour?

Look in the DIY Articles, BODYART27 did a good pictorial on replacing the
turbo drain gasket/seal

I don't think you will save much time doing them at the same time.
