Are 300TD's rare?

Ive only seen one on the road in my area in my life, so I thought they were rare enough that I didn't consider them in my diesel MB search.

Now I find that they are not only fairly common, but also they are available at pretty good prices.

Whats the scoop on the Cheap (Inexpensive?) Wagon Club, and how do I get in ? (will be in the market next year--tax refund time)

They are extremely rare. However, I might be willing to let Max go for the right price . . . .

They are less common than the sedans, but more common than coupes. They are kind of hard to find, but not impossible. They do tend to bring more than the sedans because the aren't as many.

There were 407,260 300D's made in the world and 65,093 300TD's so yeah, they are rare.

You want REALLY rare? Find one of the 7 W123 300TDs made in 1986.

Adding to the rarity of TD's is their owners' love. I know of one wagon that won't ever be on the market.

I was just wondering that myself. Subtract all the ones that have been parted and crushed, and all the ones that are too far gone to save.

Still, it seems like there are always a few on ebay.

You can find just about anything if you have the time, money, and patience.

This is true; even a Maroon w126 perfect dash.

Speaking of 300TD's........Look how many old MB's I had to go thru until I found a wagon. And we still don't know for sure if Chameleon is worth saving.......

Its all relative. A DeLorean is rare. A rust free 1985 300TD driven every day except in the winter is RARE in New England.
A rusty 300TD for under $500 can happen in New England. There was one for $450 OBO recently on craigslist.

Piles of DMC12s are around, I've seen easily a dozen in the past few years. Always on ebay.

Go try to score an E23 745i Turbo. ECE only cars, sub 1000 imported.

I would love a w123 wagon right now... You know whats even more rare than a delorean... A Bricklin... only 2500 made. You can pick them up today for under 10k in great condition. Reason why bricklin guys get pissed off...Good bricklin, $8k resale value, good delorean, $25-30k depending on market condition.

plus, I know of three deloreans sitting right now... one the guy wants waaaay too much for a pile of crap, the other is painted, and one is supposedly in a field. Plus my other one I dragged home from a junkyard with eagle co to make some money off of with him
