Couldn't Find Norm's Keys

After searching the entire house, I went out to Norm with the spare set to move him... no need.

I left the keys in the ignition... They've been there for over a week with the doors unlocked.

I guess that means I live in a safe neighborhood, but I'm too young to be having brain farts like this.

I've done that at least a half dozen times...

Now that I've said that, I'm glad no ShopForum members know my address- I'm just lucky that my CD player is still there.

I can't even leave a single door unlocked without keeping an eagle eye on it or half my interior gets damaged/stolen. I've been through 3 radios and a portable CD player in the last 3 years.

Whew! So I'm not the only one that does things like that :O If I lose my keys I'm in trouble though, I haven't gotten another set yet I figure the onset of 'Sometimers Disease' at my age is good for a few laughs though So it's all good...

on that note...

I was at the pick and pull this morning around 10 am in sacramento. As I was walking up to get in, i noticed a guy talking to an employee and said that someone busted in his window and stole his stereo/CD player. You could see his car from the entrance. Some one is pretty ballsy to do something like that. needles to say I turned right around and found a parking spot 15 feet from the gate to ensure that no one would attempt breaking my window. It is kinda sad that the manager told the guy that he parked there at his own risk and he has to contact the sheriffs dept. I would ask to get a free cd player and a window from the lot to set things square....

Where is Federal Heights?

Dang Forced-You go the PNP and your tools get stolen. Turn your head and the stereo is gone? Ever consider relocating?

If I lived there, I'd have nothing left.

Crime follows cheap housing. I'd rather invest in a good alarm, pay low rent and use the saved money on things I like.

The neighborhood is actually pretty decent but a few bad apples always ruin it for everyone.

Where is FI? Its a city 1.8 square miles in size with 6,721.0 people per square mile surrounded by huge suburbs (some within the top 100 largest population in the USA).

I have been there, and done that....

I live in a good neighborhood though, so its cool.

Although, some people here know where I live, so if you read this, I never leave my keys in the ignition....

I knew Federal Heights sounded like the ghetto.

I live in the hood, we have street walkers and yoots of questionable nature on the corner. I can't even get people to steal stuff from me, like the lawnmower I have been trying to justify upgrading. I leave the doors unlocked keys in the ignition. I leave power tools out in the carport. My flat screen is viewable from the street.

I think I have successfully convinced everyone in my hood I am crazy, it is the only explanation. That and the 80lb mutt with a loud mouth.

I always forget that most people that own mercedes live in the city. I have lived in the country my entire life and have never questioned leaving my doors unlocked. It is much easier to work on your car too. no pesky neighbors yelling at you about how much oil the car leaks on the pavement.

I never lock my cars doors during the day, and half the time when its sitting in front of my house the key's are in it.

Living in a good area is nice.

I'm right there with you, it's so much more convenient to just have things dripping on gravel instead of pavement, and be able to just get out of one into another vehicle and find the keys in the switch waiting for you.

There used to be some bad apples in my neighborhood and folks got tired of broken car windows and beer bottles thrown on their lawns. Needless to say, after the "adults" were taken to the pokey a few times for providing alcohol to minors and constant visits for disturbing the peace, they decided to move.

Now, you can work on the car and run to the parts store without the PIA of having to pack everything away. That is why I can't stand apartments. One of these days, a place in the country again.
