Question about interior problem

I have a problem with the interior covering at the rear passenger post between the door and the rear window. I believe my wife damaged it while inserting or removing one of the grand kids car seats. The plastic backing part that the mbtex covers has broken in half, or at least enough to hang over. One or two of the forward plastic connection "snap connectors" (for lack of a better term), have broken, and now i've tried glueing it back together and taping it up, but the seam shows through where it broke, and it's just not right in appearance. Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this problem? Has this ever happened to any of you?
My wife claims that the wind from the rear window being down one day must have done it, but the way she loves to haul the grand kids around leads me to supect that she snagged it with a seat when loading one up. Doesn't matter what caused it, I'd like to get it back to the way it was. Where can I find a part like that? Thanks! Lee

I think you are talking about the "C" piller. the wide panel the rear seatbelt goes through.

Probably no longer a dealer item, your best bet would be to start searching through the Junk yards.

I have had both sides come loose from the wind at the top where it is pointed, believe it or not. I uses some contact cement/glue to hold it down.

removing that panel can be a bit tricky, there is a large clip in the center I usually break.
PNP is a good place to refresh my memory how stuff comes apart .
