87 300DT interior question

I need parts for the interior door panels and seats for an 87 300DTurbo. I found one parting out on graigslist, but it is an 89 260e. Does anyone know if most of the door and seat parts ate interchangable between the two? What about switch assemblys and wood inserts? Will the locks and trunk latches work also?
thanks mike

The door panels will fit perfectly. I have Palomino 'tex from my '87 if you want to deal with the shipping.

Anyway, the '89 and '87 are identical, clips etc. will line up. The power seat and seat switch wiring is different starting '88 I believe, I pulled switches and a seat from an '88 to repair one of my '87s, different harness and switches.

The later '90-up doors with the wood will also fit, but the speaker boxes won't. You can alter the door steel to accept the speaker boxes (front doors) or just install the panel without the speakers installed and avoid the hassle. It takes more time to pull speaker wires into the doors than to make the speaker boxes fit. If you are going sedan-sedan or wagon-wagon you're fine on the rear door panels, if going wagon-sedan with rear door panels you will find that the wagon door panels are cropped at the top-rear just a little, not noticable if the panel and door steel is the same color though (and the wagon panels get speakers). The speakers need a little clearance modification in the rear doors to use wagon panels.

Other than that, the seats do physically fit, and bolt down. Rear seats fit also.

Door locks are the same, I like the bright strip in the '90-up ones, not sure about the trunk latch but I'm betting that there's no change there either until '94.

I have access to a palamino passenger side w124 seat from an 1987 300D. Also have good condition palamino sun visors and clips. Greyhound shipping is available.
