An Oil Thread, but not what you think!
What kind of hydraulic oil goes into the resevoir for a W123 Wagon with the factory SLS suspension?

You can get it here from Phil. Not real cheap but the proper stuff. I used
my A/C vac and a collection tank to suck it out of the res. Then removed the tank cleaned it really well put it back. Then I filled it with fresh, removed the return line, stuck it in a container, started the car had my wife bounce around in the cargo area. I kept adding fluid to the res until nice clean stuff came out the return line. IIRC the whole thing took 3-4 quarts, to flush and top up. My reservoir was pretty dirty with "stuff" in the bottom 1/8 in thick. MB designed it to not suck that junk up.
