Wintertime and Block Heaters
Folks,
I have seen various threads about our block heaters, and the old "when do you plug in question?" I use a portable thermostat similar to those in the links that are included here. Just mount the Thermostat, and plug in the car's heater, and set the temperature......my thermostat has a range of -10*F to 100*F......and I set it at around 20*F...... http://kkontrols.com/poth8ftco.html http://www.infraredheaters.com/kt-121.htm Most Garden, Greenhouse, and Farm/Feed Stores carry them as well.....also on Amazon.....or just Google "Portable Thermostat"...... good idea for southerners. If I used one, it would be on for months at a time- so a timer works better for me.
