IT's Alive! It's Alive!
Finally started the beast today after about 3 cranks of 20 sec each!
The clowd of smoke blacked out the sun! I still have a leak in the accordion connector somewhere, can't really tell, but at least it's running now! Another good thing is after driving to work today, the lifter knock dissapered ! Elf 5-40 syntetic really helped!!! When I took it out for a drive with a good turbo, and let it rip, there was a huge clowd of smoke and when I driving back the same way I noticed literally a pile of black soot on the ground from the exaust! I guess something was plugged!

If the flex pipe, or "bellows" is cracked, let me know, I might still have the one from the SDL. On the other hand, it might be a cheap part new.

Nice to hear about the valve clatter. Sounds like things are going well. I so want a W124 but have to wait until the Squash sells...... **edit** BTW Chad, can you do anything with that top pic.....
