I saw the crazy horrible 300SD at the DMV Dept of Mutant Vehicles) pic's.

Actually it was at the Art car display at the Sacramento Auto Show at Cal Expo.

It's a Gen I 300SD, still with the trunk script on it. I had heard about this .....this......thing

"That" kind of DMV is actually at Burning Man every year. I would love to go one day.

He doesn`t deserve the quality of craftsmanship that went into a Mercedes, and/or appreciates what he has.

should be driving a Yugo, and decorate that.

I see this type of crap driving around Santa Cruz, with all kinds of weard stuff glued to them, and the psychodelic paint jobs.

Cone to Santa Cruz and breath the smoky air, and you will do wild and crazy things to your car too!!!

I just wonder if all of the pens are new or if some of them have been used.

I bet the real purpose of the car was to artistically decorate the car while having the biggest pen sniffing party ever.

What I want to see is a slow motion front end impact of that car into a wall or oncoming vehicle at 40-50mph. I bet 90% of those break loose and become projectile missles. Can you imagine!?

I'd buy that car, and pull off every last pen, then I'd send it to the shop to be stripped and repainted. Poor car.

I just wish he would rethink his wheel/hub cap situation.
I bet his car gets a bunch more attention than any of ours. Just not for the right reason.
For some reason I'm oddly ambivalent about his project......

I believe that he had posted that the pens were used-up, it started out as a way to use trash pens.

I have no problem with using a Mercedes as "art", regardless of one's taste. It's just a car, they made tens of thousands more. If it were a gullwing I'd think he is crazy, but not a high-volume sedan.

The inside of the car is covered with a million
pens, too.

At least Grill can still be salvaged. (Also did any notice the awful orange seat covers?)

I think you have found the inspiration. They were probably sniffing the pens before they had the idea to decorate the car.
