124 HVAC Vacuum Pod Question
Okay, I finally lost the airflow through the center vent. Good flow to my feet when called for, always has flow to the defroster, ... which pod(s) am I looking for here? I know the "replace them all while you're in there" thing, I'll likely do that anyway, but which one is causing my problem?
Thanks,

On my W124 i believe the pod to the center vents is the worst to get to... the nipple is exposed behind stereo and ccu , I think it is inside the evaporator box or behind you cant even see it ..there is a exposed pod but i think that one is to the floor vents...I just wedged my center vent flap open by removing center grille and wedging a piece of rubber for temporary repair... i can snap some pic if you would like when i get home
Hope this helps Arlo

I appreciate it, but I'm going to remove the dash anyway.
I'm tired of the buzzing dash cover, the gloss, the sinks around the glue blobs from sunlight, ... and generally the blue. I was waiting to find a nice later black dash, but will have to use my spare '87 dash, and do the whole thing again some day. Anyway, it's only about a 2-3hour job to R&R a 124 dash, I'd rather have the pods all working properly again. Seems like a leaking pod would change the vacuum available to properly operate the other pods anyway, so in I go. So, if anyone knows which one(s) would cause: the defrost to be always open even during max A/C, and not open the center vent, I'd really appreciate the knowledge before tomorrow's big parts order. TIA,
