Another Pickup conversion
Looks better than the w126 camper. Those ugly whitewalls need to go!
He is dreaming with a starting bid of $5,000. If it had all records, actual mileage, and a flawless interior, it might get someone to bid 5K.
das Ranchero, hombre.
Mercamino.
How did they convert that? I actually like that car. Love these old benz, but really do need a pickup for my quad lol.
Wont pay 5K for it tho.... |
Not that bad!! [with a white wall deletion]
Good Mercamino candidate:
$500 300sd, won't start in the cold weather. I guess glowplugs, fuel filters, valve adjustment would help if the engine isn't blown. "5cyl. turbo diesel. ran and drove it to where it sits now, but couldn't start it the last time i tried a few weeks ago. excellent fixer upper or parts car. Now THAT is a professional job. If I had room I would grab that. I can imagine the looks at Tractor Supply when you pull up in that! It even sounds like a John Deere!
I would drive it. It doesn't look like a hack job.
And all that much the better if somebody put SLS from a 560 in there. Would require a seperate pump, but that info is contained in this forum.....
I wonder what they did with the fuel tank.
I wonder what it looks like on the forward end of the bed where it's covered up, as well as the back wall where there conveniently no pics of.
What a Diesel to take on the NOR CAL DIESEL DRIVE in the Spring!
I asked the seller for pictures of the rear window/bed transition pictures...inside and out. If it is as nice as the rest of the car then it is a pretty well executed El Mercamino. Yep the White side walls have to go. With Euro's it'd look a bunch better. And you could set a Six Pack Camper in there with hacking anything......Just thought I'd throw that in. |
