Englander woodstove fits in the back of 300TD!

Just barely fit in the back on the appliance dolly but I got it in. It one of the biggest that Home Depot sells, the NC-30 2,200 sq ft model. Rode beautiful. Going to modify the stove so that I can drip veggy in it during wood burn.

When I saw the title of your post, my first response was "why don't you just fix the monovalve?".

Can you post a pic of a fire burning in there? I've suggest a woodstove (or insert) for our fireplace and my wife uses the "ugly" word to describe it. I don't mind buillding a fire......to help supplement the furnace, but we all know what happens to 99% of the heat when you have a fireplace.

I'm looking for an insert that has a glass front on it.

Here's a pic of mine daw. The glass front is great. It makes it very easy to deal with the fire since you can see it. My wife was against a stove/insert too, but she now likes it better than an open fireplace. You just need to make sure you burn your fires hot enough to keep the glass clear.

She was also worried about not smelling the wood burning anymore, but you still get a puff of smoke whenever you tend to the flames.

Soapstone

I have been looking at soapstone stoves and will of course be trying to pick it up with my TD. I hope the SLS can take the weight!

PaulH from Junkyarding.com took this load with no problem. You should be fine.

I want a stove bad but the cost on a chimney is the killer. Next house.

I hauled a Jotul 118 in the back of my '85 190D, had to take the legs off to get it in the trunk and the nose was quite high the whole time but it worked out.
I bought the stove on eBay and when I went to pick it up the guy said "You're taking it in THAT!?!"

WHAT???!!! I never burn lamb. I only slow roast it in my oven for my traditional Easter feast and serve with mint sauce.

Here's a broader view.

I actually plan to cover the brick with a more substantial mantel with columns and some Moravian tile.
