Need Help - Feedback - Thoughts...

Hello - I have my 83 300D listed for sale in the classified section of this forum...Listed on the 14th, Silver blue - $5500.

My question for those of you with 'more knowledge' than I, is: I'm wondering if I've priced the car too high - after looking around at this forum and others...I'm just looking for some honest feedback. The car is really a nice one, and the new tires, injectors and Gplugs alone are a nice ticket item....I realize the 'game' is to start a little high, and work from there --- but I don't want the asking price to 'turn away' the opportunity for someone to consider the car...

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and feedback...

Randy (71inka02)

$5500 might be a little high for a car with 209000 on it.

If you want to get top dollar for the car,
try adding more pictures of the engine, undercarriage, more shots of the body from different angles, etc

Do these work?

AC
Windows
Sunroof
Seats
Cruise
Tach

Does the engine run properly

Blowby test
Compression
Oil leaks

Transmission
shifting properly?

How are the seats?

Do you have the service history?

I see that 114 people have viewed it but nobody has replied. Try bumping it again. If nobody bites, try listing it on ebay.

Good luck

I paid 6,700 for a "perfect" one with 155k, but I was desperate for transportation, and didn't know any better. On this forum, almost everyone is very knowledgable, and none of them are desperate. No one here's going to pay 5,500; but that isn't saying it's not worth it. It's more about the audience than the car.

If you were priced correctly then somebody would have already made you an offer. Not only is it priced high, but it is a bad time for folks to be spending $$$$ also, so that bullet point doesn't help either.
I've had a 240 on the Cars section for a couple weeks with no serious interest. The times just aren't conducive for max automotive prices......

Good feedback, and that's what I was hoping for...Car is listed on this site and another with lots of 'views', but no questions or comments --- I wasn't expecting to sale in a day or two---but with no comments at all, it caused me to wonder.

I would like to post more picture's but was limited on 'space' for attachments - I guess I should look into a third party site for hosting pics --- notice some folks use photobucket or something.....guess I'll ask my teenage kids for assistance.

I'm going to review and rethink my ad ----- thanks again, this is a great forum and I appreciate the support and willingness from the members --- makes it fun!

Randy
